HCC Festival Chorus

August 9, 2010 – Fort Wayne. The Singers of the Heartland Chamber Chorale and Maestro Robert Nance invite area choristers to join them to form the first Heartland Festival Chorus for a December 12, 2010 performance of Georg Fredrich Händel’s The Messiah.

Auditions for singers will take place at Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 West Berry, Fort Wayne on August 30, 31, and September 1 starting at 5PM each day. Your five-minute audition includes simple vocalizations to assess range & voice part, plus excerpts from choruses in Messiah to assess vocal ability & experience with the music. Auditions may be scheduled via the website at www.heartlandchorale.org or by calling the office at 260.436.8080.

The performance will take place in Auer Performance Hall at the Rhinehart Music Center on the campus of IPFW. The performance will feature the Heartland Festival Chorus and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic in a presentation of the complete work on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 7:00PM.
